@Swar: Hmm, did you feel that? I thought it was also because there were some distractions — the journalist, moving to the restaurant and so on — around that time. If there was some amount of guardedness, I suppose it’s a bit natural. Would be nice to be able to break through that more quickly I guess, the next time we have such an event. I think it was worth it anyway though, in case that didn’t come through. Just being my usual greedy self, wanting more, etc.

The discussion did not evolve because maybe except for you and Joshua, all the poets were quiet and very guarded. I was actually looking forward to a deeper discussion on poetry/poetics because I am very keen on poetry and poets.
